Home in Rothenburgsort
The Entenwerder Elbpirates e.V. is a non-profit association aimed at children and young people from Rothenburgsort. Through various projects, children and young people are to participate in the development of Rothenburgsort and thus find creative solutions for their surroundings. Especially through free sailing sports and different formats, children and young people of various ages can be brought together and engage in conversation.
Together with elblab, a lab directly on the Elbe, we awaken the spirit of research and discovery in children and young people, allowing them to experience nature and the environment directly.
With an eye on the future
At Elbpirates, two questions are at the forefront:
- How can the wishes, values, and views of the future generation become more visible in the city?
- How can this generation promote and demand a sustainable environment?
Design through a sustainable project
The solution is obvious. Through a rich offering, we research for a sustainable environment, break down prejudices, and thus create a society without racism and discrimination. The offerings take place through various projects and workshops throughout the year and are guided by a competent team.
The Elbpirates are located at Entenwerder 1, where the Café Entenwerder 1 is also based. Here, children and young people can research, create, and above all - sail!
