Entenwerder1 Café
A Special Place: Café on the Elbe
“About have searched for places in New York or Berlin, but found nothing comparable to Entenwerder,” our founder Thomas Friese always says, and he gladly adds, “Anyone who has been there suddenly becomes a child again, is a riverboat captain right on the Elbe, and cannot resist the magic of this place.”
Entenwerder is home not only to a few ducks or some old customs station. Since the renovation in 1997, several things can be enjoyed there at the same time: the view of the Elbe bridges and the HafenCity, as well as the newly emerging backdrop around the Elbtower.

Short Drive and Perfect Destination for a Day Trip
Planning a trip to Entenwerder 1? It’s only two stops by S-Bahn from the main station, so it takes just a few minutes to get here. Additionally, Entenwerder 1 is easily accessible by bike, making it a great destination for a tour through Hamburg.
Moreover, the park has become a real insider tip and was expanded in 2015 with the “Golden Pontoon.” Thomas Friese brought the 16-meter-high and 11-meter-long artwork, created by Jan Kampshoff and Marc Günnewig for the Sculpture Projects 2007 in Münster, to Hamburg. To make the artwork accessible to others, it was converted into a café with three levels, operated by Thomas-i-Punkt.
Café Opening Hours
The café is part of a district development project in Rothenburgsort, developed by Thomas Friese, and can be visited Monday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entenwerder 1 offers coffee specialties, selected drinks, and homemade dishes.
Opening hours may vary seasonally. You can find the current opening hours on the website entenwerder.de.
