Wool (Virgin Wool)

Virgin wool is one of the most versatile and traditional types of wool in the textile industry. Sourced from the fleece of sheep, virgin wool offers natural properties that make it especially suitable for high-quality clothing. Naturally elastic and shape-retaining, it provides excellent thermal insulation while remaining breathable. Its durability and resilience make it a preferred material for garments that combine longevity and comfort. Additionally, virgin wool is dirt-repellent and easy to care for, making maintenance straightforward. We source our virgin wool from Austria.

Storage

Make sure to air out and dry your garments well before storing them. It is best to store them neatly folded in a cool place protected from direct sunlight. It is important not to store your knitwear hanging for long periods (e.g., on hangers), as the garment can stretch out and lose its shape. Cedarwood and lavender sachets are excellent natural moth repellents. However, be careful that neither cedarwood nor lavender sachets come into direct contact with your garment, as this can cause stains.

Pilling

Although high-quality, long fibers are used, pilling can occur due to wear during use. This is normal for especially soft yarns and decreases over time as the shorter fibers come loose. We recommend minimizing friction risk by, for example, not wearing heavy jackets with rough linings. To remove small pills, it is advisable to use a special electric wool shaver. Lay the garment flat and gently use the shaver along the knit direction without applying too much pressure.
